[edit]But, what is it?
[edit]Does anyone know what this is supposed to be? Adam Bishop 23:28, 31 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Kalan
[edit]Kalan is actually an animal (Enhydra lutris). A good thing to disambiguate. — 82.208.10.16 13:01, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
Dersim
[edit]The article Dersim redirects to this article, it simply shouldn't because Dersim covers a few more cities, including Tunceli. Ozgur Gerilla 02:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
You're right. Dersim isn't town. Dersim is like state(sancak in turkish). --Reshrap (talk) 15:14, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Names in other languages
[edit]As long as I known, the language of local residents of this province is not Kurdish, but Zazaki. So we'd better remove Kurdish alternative name to add Zazaki alternative name. Takabeg (talk) 00:40, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- Im a Zaza and Zazas are Kurds. So, what is the problem? Kurmanj and Zaza Kurds live together in Dersim.--Meymano (talk) 21:02, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Heavy Mistakes
[edit]First mistake is to write "parêzgeh Dêrsim" like it is the zazaish name, too. There is no "parêzgeh" in their vocabulary, they wouldn't even understand the meaning of "parêzgeh". I am Zaza and I didn't know the meaning of it. I had to search for the meaning of it. Because we have two different languages. In zazaki people just say "Dêsim" for this province even if it is used for the historically more greater "Dêsim". Second mistake is to call the majority "kurdish". They are Zaza. I am Zaza, too. And we all should know the difference between Zaza people and Kurds. Weşiya sıma!ZonêMa (talk) 00:10, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
It's officially called Tunceli not Dersim
[edit]Have a look at here. This is the official site of the Agency of Provinces of Turkey. So the name of this Wikipedia articles is wrong and the references are even wronger -- Infestor T•C 02:52, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- @Infestor: The page was moved from Tunceli Province by Ahmetyal (talk · contribs) on 17 May 2014. This is a wide-ranging issue that is not confined to this page. I suggest that you raise the matter at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey, and mention the article Provinces of Turkey at the same time. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:57, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
- Presently, the name of the province is Tunceli. Please check the following pages The official population statistics for Tunceli Province, Tunceli Province governor's page,Tunceli University page So what is the reason of this discussion ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 14:00, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
- Per WP:MULTI, please discuss at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Turkey#Dersim Province. I advised that as being a central place, because there are several articles - not just this one - that mention either Tunceli or Dersim. We should not be amending on a one-by-one basis; if WP Turkey decide on one, then all the affected articles can be amended as a group. --Redrose64 (talk) 14:51, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Stop changing the Kurdish part to Zaza
[edit]Someone keeps changing all my information from Kurdish to Zaza. All the Kurdish villages that I uploaded are Kurmanji Kurdish names. I even got them directly from the Kurdish portion of Wikipedia. If you click "Zazaki", there are different names for villages. Moxondi and all those villages in Dersim were Kurdish villages not Zazaki. If you want your villages to be shown as well, then ADD Zazaki not completely change the Kurdish portion and insert Zaza. What are you doing? :/ It's like me going around all the Armenian parts of the site, and removing it to put Zaza information instead of just adding information to the already created Armenian information. It doesn't make sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.15.70.129 (talk) 07:14, 17 February 2016 (UTC)
